About
Wild Mama supports women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery and motherhood with movement that is thoughtful, evidence-informed and grounded in real life.
Recovery after birth is not a race. It unfolds alongside broken sleep, hormonal change and the constant demands of caring for a baby. Yet many women are given rushed or conflicting advice about how to move their bodies during this time.
Wild Mama was created to offer something different.
This is not about ‘bouncing back’. It’s about rebuilding trust, strength and confidence at a pace that respects what your body has been through.
Our approach
Movement at Wild Mama is designed to support long-term wellbeing, not short-term transformation.
Our guides prioritise breath-led core and pelvic floor function, control before intensity, and low-load, high-quality movement that adapts to fatigue and real life.
There is no single ‘right’ timeline for recovery. Progress is measured by how supported and capable you feel, not by how quickly you move on.
About the founder

Wild Mama was founded by Bex Henley, a qualified fitness instructor and yoga teacher with over 12 years’ experience supporting people through movement, strength and recovery.
Bex holds specialist pre and postnatal exercise certification, alongside qualifications in fitness instruction (Les Mills, Indoor Cycling, Barre, TRX and Pound) and yoga teaching.
After becoming a mother herself, Bex experienced first-hand how unclear and rushed postnatal exercise advice can be. Wild Mama was created to offer clear foundations, calm progression and permission to slow down.
A final note
Motherhood is demanding enough without pressure to ‘get back’ to anything.
Recovery deserves time, respect and thoughtful guidance.
